Is this for real ?

Lawn tennis grew up out of the older game called Real (or Royal) tennis, played on an enclosed court. It was also known as the "sport of Kings".

The first mens singles Wimbledon champion was Spencer Gore in 1877. Still to this day his portrait is hung at The All England Club as a tribute to this historic figure.
