The quiet, shy, Bjorn Borg created one of the all time records when he won the Wimbledon singles title 5 times in a row, and played 
in what is often regarded as the greatest mens singles final of all time, 1980, beating his controversial rival John McEnroe in a five set thriller. An advocate of the wooden racket at a time when most players were turning to more advanced technology, Borg's touch game and superb court movement proved that he could beat the best just by his natural skill and fitness. A quiet, introverted man, unfortunately Borg found the pressure of the game too much, and sadly retired from the game at the age of only 26.
However, he is still regarded by many professionals as the greatest player of all time. 
Pin-up boy Borg had as much glamour status as Hollywood stars.
The Professionals, thriller tv series, featured one episode from 1975 called, "Killer with a long arm"(see YouTube video link below), where Bodie and Doyle track down a deadly sniper who tries to kill an important diplomat visiting Centre Court for a match. Now that's a first the officials at the All England Club wouldn't want !
